Several black football coaches recently filed lawsuits against the NFL and several teams alleging discrimination.  According to data for 2021 collected by The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport at the University of Florida and ESPN, persons of color dominate in NFL locker rooms (constituting 70.7% of players with blacks constituting 58%) while whites dominate among NFL owners (96.9%), team CEOs (90.6%), team general managers (84.4%), office employees (68.9%), head coaches (81.2%), assistant coaches (59.1%) and officials/referees (71.4%) of the overall league in 2021.
